Overview
The Better Book Company required a more professional-looking site, using their corporate colours and logo. The site was designed and built in close liaison with the company, with a design and layout to complement their popular self-publishing information booklet.
An admin area was created to allow company members to add/edit/delete books from the Book Catalogue page, complete with code to automatically re-size and add shadows to the book cover images, and to create the correct links to Amazon.co.uk's book catalogue from both ISBN-10 and the newer ISBN-13 book number formats.
The Better Book Company changed hands in the summer of 2007, and the site was handed over to be maintained by Two Below Zero.

Layout & Design
The site was designed with a fluid layout, to make the best use of whatever screen size it was displayed in. In particular, the Book Catalogue page was carefully designed so that each book's “box” could also flow in a sensible way to fill the available space.
