June 2007 - 2 x quad-core Intel Xeon “Clovertown” @ 2.33Ghz (18.64GHz total) 2G 100G (RAID6) Remote serial console and “power” switch. Clive NetrinoUK
BlueSquare, Maidenhead
May 2007 - Core Duo @ 1.86Ghz (3.87GHz total) 2G 320G (RAID1) Remote serial console. Now reliable following some initial teething problems, with some downtime due to a faulty network card. One disk failed in June 2007, but the RAID1 system meant that the machine continued to work without any loss of data.
Nora NetrinoUK
Redbus Sovereign House, Docklands, London
Sep 2004 - Jul 2007 Pentium 4
2.8GHz
512M 75G (RAID1) Remote power control, remote serial console access. Initial single disk had some bad sectors, causing reliability problems. RAID array fitted June 2005 should make disk problems a thing of the past. Remote power control and serial console fitted June 2005 now gives full control over rebooting, with access to Grub and kernel boot messages and prompts. Server retired in 2007 now that we have multi-processor ones with more memory.
Hebe 1&1 Internet
Germany
Aug 2004 - July 2005 Celeron
2GHz
256M 37G Remote power control, network boot recovery mode. Initially rented during problems with Suzie, but a less powerful machine. Recovery mode allows power cycling and booting from the network, which allows boot problems to be sorted, albeit slowly.
Suzie NetrinoUK
Easynet, Brick Lane, London
Mar 2003 - Nov 2004 Pentium 3 512M 37G Reboot requests only. Blade server. Some disk problems, but otherwise reliable. Some network issues at Easynet prompted Netrino to move to Redbus. Upgraded to Hebe on Netrino's new network when the disk finally died.
